


Hon. Edward G.
“Bunch” Guerrero
The Hon. Edward G. “Bunch” Guerrero was born in Globe,
Arizona on September 28, 1932. Representative
Edward Guerrero, who represented District 2 in the
Arizona
legislature, will be remembered for his open door policy, impartial
representation, and professional competence. Serving in the
Arizona
legislature nearly two decades, he introduced legislation that improved the
lives of people from the working class. From
1974 through 1978 he was the minority floor leader.
Living in the Globe-Miami area, Edward Guerrero served on the Globe town
council representing ward six and as a
Gila
County
supervisor. His background in
construction was the impetus for many public works projects.
During the Korean conflict, he served in the U.S. Navy.
It is a privilege and honor for the Arizona Association of Chicanos for
Higher Education to dedicate the 2004 conference held at
Arizona
State
University
on November 12th to his memory.
He passed away April 28, 2001. His
family still lives in the Globe-Miami area.
